That's awfully precious and funny...
There's a children's story in there somewhere.
What if we could do the interesting things our children wanted us to, with grand adventures mixed in, of course.
When Autumn was a little child, the next door neighbors cheerfully asssured her that her Dad -could- get her the moon if she wanted it.
On our communication front, the boy has to do reading, such as it is, every night. He usually bucks at doing it so I read aloud to him, directing his attention to the text as I read it. Last night, I thought it was time for him to just handle it and do it on his own.
He fussed, but I did not relent.
I did relent when he came in with a hand-written note:
Mom read book (to) Ben.
Okey-doke. I am a reasonable mom.
Oh! Oh. That is so cute and sweet! I would have relented, too!
