Here find all things Wright and Lamplighter from this past year.
MOTH AND COBWEB
In just over a year, John has written six Moth and Cobweb books! The Green Knight's Squire trilogy and the Dark Avenger's Sidekick trilogy. These stories follow the adventures of young half-elves as they try to protec humanity from the cruel whims of their supernatural relatives. Gil, who talks to animals, strives to become a knight–in the modern day, and the second trilogy is Tamlyn with ninja!
The Prospero's Children trilogy has been reissued from Wordfire Press with beautiful new covers by Dan Lawlis. For five hundred years, since the end of the events chronicled in Shakespeare's Tempest, the dread magician Prospero and his children have guarded mankind from the ravages of the supernatural world. Now Prospero has gone missing, and it is up to Miranda to gather her siblings and save him–if she can just get them to believe that someone as powerful as their father could really be in trouble.
BOOKS OF UNEXPECTED ENLIGHTENMENT
The fourth Book of Unexpected Enlightenment is finally live! When otherworldly forces conspire against those she loves, Rachel Griffin must face her most desperate hour. This on top of winter fairies, lost friends, undeniably attractive older boys, and, oh, a rampaging ogre.
There is a book trailer, The Students of Roanoke Academy, with a song written by poet Ben Zwycky and sung by the lovely and incomparable Sarah Koolbeck.
At long last, the final episode of John's Count To A Trillion is here! And it may be the most vast, most awesome, most mind-blowing science fiction book I have ever read!
Will Montrose finally get his wife back? Will Blackie kill him first? Will they finally have a duel that nobody interrupts? Find out in this last chapter of Menalaus Montrose's epic saga: Count To Infinity!
A collection of stories set in the background of Larry Correia's Monster Hunter International books, Monster Hunter Files includes a story by John set in England.
Two anthologies with an political edge. Forbidden Thoughts features stories that venture where Political Correctness fears to tread, while MAGA 2020 & Beyond features upbeat stories and articles showcasing a happier tomorrow. Both include works by John and Jagi
Two anthologies of science fiction tales written by Christian writers. Mythic Orbits 2016 is a "best of" for 2016 that includes my "HMS Mangled Treasure: The Rescue of Mr. Spaghetti" story (a story set in the background of the Prospero Books, starring Mab Boreal.) Victorian Venus is tales of a terraformed Venus peopled with Victorians. It includes a tale by me called "Gaslight Jungle" which features Charlie Fairweather, from the Books of Unexpected Enlightenment, before the Raven brought him to Roanoke. It features a character based on the real Victoria Woodhull–first woman to run for President of the United States, a fascinating character!
Note: while these are tales by Christian authors, the stories are not necessarily specifically Christian.
Lyonesse is an interesting new e-magazine with its own unique format. This anthology contains some of the first stories published. My story "Four Funerals and a Wedding" appears here. It is a story about a young woman who is trying to do something very unexpected at funerals without getting caught by the crusading reporter who is searching for the person responsible.
Tales of the Once and Future King is something very new also! It is an anthology where the stories appear as tales inside an overarching story where elements of the interal stories show up in the overarching one. Quite intriguing. My story concerns a character who Rachel Griffinwill someday meet. It is a Cthulian King Arthur in Hell story.
And one more! With a story by John!
