12:32 pm: I Am Not A Robot! I Am A Free Fan!

Again, I am collecting these photos not to shame Tor, but to help readers let Tor know that they are real people. I will add to this as photos come in.

Nifty!

(Link)
It is really neat to get a glimpse at everyone's libraries, no matter what the reason is for this. Hopefully this will be resolved and we can all buy Tor books again with sound consciences.

I assure you that I am an actual human, and furthermore I am a long-time Tor & MacMillan customer.

At a brief glance, Tor/Forge books in my library include:
* the four-book Chronicles of Pyrdain series by Lloyd Alexander
* Terry Bisson: Bears Discover Fire and Other Stories
* Ray Bradbury: Fahrenheit 451
* David Bri Kiln People
* Tobias Buckell: Crystal Rain, Raggamuffiun, Sly Mongoose

* Gardner Dozois: Year's Best Science Fiction, Volumes17 through 31 (Okay , those are St Martin Press - a MacMillan Company)
* Jay Lake: Mainspring; Escapement
* George MacDonald: The Light Princess (purchased by my library at my request)
* Paul Melko: The Walls of the Universe
* Paul Park: A Princess of Roumania
* Frederik Pohl: Platinum Pohl

* Peter Watts: all three books of his Rifter's Trilogy
* John C. Wright: The Golden Age
* Jane Yolen: The Year's Best Fantasy for Teens
* Plus some of your Legends series of anthologies.

These are the paper books. My husband's collection of ebooks dwarfs mine and I am not even going to guess how many of them are yours.

You might call my husband and I your target audience. . . these reports that our emails are getting deleted has been the absolute last straw for me.

I was planning on buying John Scalzi's Redshirts (I read it at a relatives house and want my own dead tree copy!) and am interested in getting Lawrence Shoen's Barsk, which you publish. I also want to buy Cassie Alexander's books (Nightshifted; Moonshifted; Shapeshifted; Deadshifted) and the rest of Stephen Coonts "Saucer" series. I collect Allan Steele and he has a title coming our from Tor - Arkwright - but those purchasing plans are on hold at the moment because of my annoyance with Tor.

Gullible right wing kooks remain gullible

All this because Peter Grant makes unsubtantiated claims, so Vox Day can get someone fired?

Re: Gullible right wing kooks remain gullible

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are so misinformed. Peter Grant came late to the fight. Readers had been sending my husband notes explaining that they were thinking of boycotting Tor for some time before Mr. Grant or even Mr. Day got involved.

As a Tor author myself, I am not at all anti-Tor! I am very much in favor of a harmonious resolution.

I am putting up these pictures for two reasons:

1) to make it clear to Tor that these are real folks who are objecting, not bots.

2) To give readers a chance to make this clear.

These photos show a great deal of devotion to Tor over the years.

I would very much like to see that restored.

Hi,

I just sent you an email with my pic of my 86 Tor books I have in the home at the moment.

I also just started the Prospero series and it's good stuff so far.

Thank you. Posting pictures as they come in.

As to the second, thank you so much!

I am a Man; I'm not a Bot

(Link)
My shelves are two, three, and in the case of some of the paperbacks, four rows deep. I don't have time or space to pull all the Tor books out and photograph them. Last night I counted at least 50 Tor titles (hc, tpb, mmpb) on the front rows, and that was just on the shelves in one room. I didn't count in the other room that's packed with shelves.

I have chosen to mock the SJWs with bad doggerel:

You know this has made me realise how much my book collection has shrunk over time (mainly sci/fantasy art books now ). I know Sad puppy's is very much a USA thing but a lot of your complaints can all so be leveled at the UK market as well. I think you are Kicking someing much bigger than you realize
