It never ceases to amaze me how clothes just look better on the Cherubim. I almost never look at the boys and think “what a nice outfit” or “how well that looks”. But the Cherubim comes downstairs sometimes and exactly those lines go through my head. “Hey, how well that white and maroon striped shirt goes with those red shorts!”
I would not have believed some people just wear clothes better than others if I had not seen it with my own eyes. Some people look better in some clothes, sure, but in all clothes? Weird.
Clothes wearing…apparently, it’s a gift.

Yes, not one that I have though my sister does. So do my kids. They have those reedy, lightly muscular builds that had relatives worrying about malnutrition when they were younger. They do eat like horses but they don't put on fat, bless them. My daughter was insisting that she was a size 3, not a size 5! Well, a size 5 did hang on her.
What I like best about the Cherubim's looks is that--unless something really disturbing is going on--he is so happy.
I was just looking over some pictures of him from when he was smaller and was delighted at how happy he looked in many of them. Though nowadays, I think he looks more wistful much of the time.
I think we're busy the first week of Nov, but not after that. What weekend might be good for you?
Do you all have those first two days of the month off?
Also, Nov. 11th, Veterin's Day, is Ping-Ping's birthday. Would Autumn be able to come up for her party?
The 11th is a Thursday...what time of day is the party? I could likely have her up there by 5 o'clock...though I might be forgetting something!
The 20th/21st is a horse show we might be attending in Lexington (book-related). Of course, we'll be off for Thanksgiving, but would have to come before the noonish meal and I don't know if that would be convenient for you.
Also, weren't you thinking about jogging down here solo some school day once your family duties lightened a little?
Good thing I checked the pda calendar. Running Club starts today and I had forgotten!
That reminds me of this passage from the Nonesuch.
"[Laurence] had lately turned towards the dandy-set, abandoning the sporting attire of the Corinthian for all the extravagances of fashion popular amongst the young dandies. Julian, three years his junior, thought that he looked ridiculous in any guise ... . Laurence would do well to imitate the quiet neatness of Waldo's dress, Julian though, not realizing that the plain, close-fitting coats which so admirably became Waldo could only be worn to advantage by men of splended physique. Less fortunate aspirants to high fashion were obliged to adopt a more florid style, with padding to disguise sloping shoulders, and huge, laid-back lapels to widen a narrow chest."
