Even if we don't do anything particularly special on our anniversary, it's a good time to pause and reflect on how much we love each other and how that love has sustained us through the years.
We're hoping to sneak out for an hour and get coffee tonight.
Coffee is special if the company is special.
Hopefully it will be at the bookstore (it might actually be Italian soda and sharing a piece of chocolate cheese cake. )
Many happy returns of the day!
So you were joined in Holy Matrimony on the Summer Solstice [Northern Hemisphere-model]?
That's a handy date to remember.
Much and more happiness to you both [plus any assorted pages, squires, and princess in your train],
Yep. I picked it on purpose. My birthday is at the end of June, and I always regretted as a child that I had not been born just a bit earlier, so I could have had a birthday on Mid-Summer's night (which I loved because of the Shakespeare play. ;-)
So this was the next best thing.
Well, you could've been born at the other side of the year on the Northern Winter Solstice, along with such committed radicals as Samuel L. Jackson, Frank Zappa, Phil Donahue, Jane Fonda, and Joseph Stalin, so count yourself charmed. :>)
[Being born on that day must severely unbalance a person. I wouldn't trust one myself.]
There's no nicer time for a birthday that 1/2 a year away from Christmas. Your celebrations are perfectly balanced.
(This year, for my birthday, Tor is releasing Prospero Lost in paperback...of course, they don't know they are doing it for my birthday. ;-)
An auspicious day, indeed. :-) Happy anniversary!
