09:38 am: Still Raining Monkeys

Well, it's been two weeks now, and it is still raining monkeys. Every morning, like clockwork, somewhere between eleven and thirteen blue monkeys come raining down the stairs. Every evening, they get counted and carried back up to spend the night in their barrel. (In between, I put them on the table, so that people don't trip on them.)

Yesterday, Juss found a red monkey and added it to the pile on the table. Today, 13 blue monkeys and a red one rained down.

Good to know that some things can be depended upon...like Monkey Rain.

This post makes me want to start fiddling with a filk "Monkey Rain" on Prince's "Purple Rain". I'm resisting... for now.

On that note...

...I was toying with some variation of "Gorillas in the Mist".

"Play Gorillas in the Misty for me!"

"Pongos are Falling on My Head" by BJ Thomas

"It's Raining Chimps" by Geri Halliwell

"A Hard Rain's a-Gibbon Fall" by Bob Dylan

"Rainy Orangutan in Georgia" by Ray Charles

"Swingin' in the Rain" by Gene Kelly

"Lemur Down [Primates in the Rain]" by Melanie

"Mandrill in Rain" by Bruce Hornsby

...Okay, that probably enough pun-ishment for one comment.

Hmm. He must be causing all the unseasonal rain we're getting over here across the country from you. ;)
