06:08 pm: China Short Post E -- Gmail Catches Up
Gmail tries to offer you ads based on the content of your emails. For a long time, it offered me Harry Potter ads--which was fitting In the last day, it has updated itself to ads for learning Chinese.

In between, for the last several months, all the ads were for how to tell if your man was cheating and what to do about a cheating wife. Clearly, Gmail cares more about the life of Rachel Griffin than about the rest of my correspondance.

At least that is close to useful. It is getting stuff for Rachel's problems that amuses me. The Chinese stuff is actually pretty close. Though one ad came up in Chinese. That was beyond me.

It is funny that they think that Rachel Griffin deserves her own ads. She's clearly much needier/angsty than you are. But I wouldn't be surprised if you start getting shoe ads.

LOL That would be funny.

On the other hand, Rachel has a lot more expendable cash...maybe that's why she's being targeted. ;-)

I get check-your-credit-score ads. And laundry detergent coupons. And an ad for a Godfather--Five Families online game. Maybe they know I was googling Kill Bill yesterday.
