04:50 pm: Our New Family Member

Ruby eyes and antenna ears

Our new family member. I was prepared to go a long distance and pay a good deal of money, but a local baby costing only $10 caught Ping-Ping's heart. Note the one ear up, one ear down. It had one lop parent and one straigh-ear.

The rabbit was initially YiYi, but is now Shoushun.

YiYi was always translated by our translation box as the Happy of Happy.

Shou means little. I don't know what Shun means. (I asked what it meant and got the reply "It China name." ;-)

"In Digimon Tamers, Lee Jianliang and Xiaochun are half-Chinese and have Chinese names. Apparently, much of the fandom didn't get the memo, and continue to call them Jenrya and Shiuchon (or Shuichon, after an early translator's typo caught on).

* In their defense, it's extremely unusual for someone living permanently in Japan to use a non-Japanese spelling or punctuation (hell, it used to be outright illegal for citizens) and 90% of resident Chinese would use Jenrya and Shiuchon, just because that's what everyone reading your name would call you.
o The Jenrya and Shiuchon pronounciations would still be considered foreign. The natural Japanese pronounciation of their names would be Ri Kenryou and Ri Shoushun. Even then though, the structure of their names would still mark them as foreign. "

Then check this out..

And the way the ears are configured, it can only go in widdershins circles, so it'll never run away.
